Bespoke FAQ
There's a lot to consider when you're searching for the right people to create the perfect piece of Jewellery.
So we've put together the answers to some of the questions we get asked by our clients the most.
Bespoke FAQ
Do you have a Shop?
No, we don't have a shop, we work out of a private studio in Bermondsey where we hold all our client meetings.
Can you work with client's remotely?
Yes, we can. A lot of the process takes place over Zoom and Whatsapp, however when it comes to selecting stones we prefer to show our clients their options in real life. So we do encourage our clients to come in for this part of the process.
How do I book an Appointment?
Simply click here and fill in the form and our team will be in touch to arrange a suitable time to chat.
My ideal proposal date is sooner than your lead times allow for...
Unfortunately, as everything is made by hand, we are unable to speed up the process to be much faster than the 8-12 weeks, but drop us an email and we will see what we can do... hello@antoniaguise.co.uk
Where is your Jewellery made?
All our jewellery is made by hand here in the UK, by our extremely talented artisans in our workshop based in Melton Mowbray.
Can I use a stone I have already purchased?
Unless they're heirloom stones we only work with Diamonds and stones that we have sourced ourselves.
Designing Bespoke Rings
Do you have a minimum spend?
Yes we do, our minimum spend for engagement rings is £3,000. For wedding bands there is no minimum spend. For heirloom transformations our prices start from £1,500.
How do I work out Ring sizes?
There are lots of guides and methods to do this at home, but we recommend purchasing a ring sizer, downloading a ring sizing app or, if they know, visiting a jeweller to get the perfect measurement.
We can recommend the best way when we chat, all our engagement rings come with a complimentary resize too.
Can you copy a design I like?
We won't copy another designers work, but we can use the image as a starting point and inspiration for the final unique piece.
Will the ring be hallmarked?
Absolutely, this is a UK legal requirement! Our unique jewellers hallmark is registered with the London Assay Office who hallmark all our jewellery.
How long does the process take?
Please allow 8-12 weeks from start to finish for the completion of the bespoke ring.
Diamonds, Precious Stones & Metals
Are all your Stones ethically sourced?
All our stones are ethically sourced and are conflict free.
Our Diamonds are sourced from trusted dealers who comply with the Kimberley Process. All our centre stone diamonds also come with a GIA certificate for added peace of mind.
Where does your Metal come from?
We only create jewellery using 100% recycled metal regardless of colour and carat.
Re-designing Heirloom Jewellery
Can I redesign any piece of Jewellery?
Yes, we're able to completely redesign heirloom pieces, or update an existing engagement ring to better suit your style and circumstance.
Why would you need a redesign?
We think it's really important now more than ever that we're not creating new pieces from scratch for the sake of it.
Most people have sentimental and valuable jewellery that they just don't wear as it's not fashionable, or doesn't suit their lifestyle anymore.
A clever redesign can transform these wasted pieces and valuable materials into beautiful and much loved modern heirlooms that are worn as often as they were originally intended to be.
Can you tell me what my heirloom jewellery is made of?
Yes, our workshop is set up to do this for you and we can get stones valued before work begins so the setting and design and settings for the new piece of jewellery is appropriate.
Can you reuse the existing metal?
Yes, we can. Older metals are sometimes not as pure as our modern standards allow for (they contain too much lead etc.) but our workshop can refine the metal to produce 14 or 18ct versions.
If there isn't enough metal in the existing piece of jewellery to cover the new design we then add supplementary 100% recycled metal.
How long does it take?
We generally allow 8-12 weeks for this process.

Will I need to be at the address to receive the parcel?

After Care
Do you include Ring re-sizing in the price?
Yes! Finger sizing is hard to get 100% right without the recipient being aware. We will send you recommendations on how to measure their finger size, but appreciate that this is never 100% accurate, so we offer all our clients complimentary re-sizing as part of the package.
